WALLED GARDEN SPACE
PORTSLADE, EAST SUSSEX: April 2017
We welcomed the challenge of transforming a walled garden space. A full site assessment was undertaken. The product system used was a 2M² x 2M² EasiWall vertical rain garden facing south west, overlooking an outside eating area with views from a kitchen window.
Our vision was to plant a mixture of bright plants creating a changing interest throughout the seasons, and keeping it low maintenance, harvesting rain water with an inbuilt lighting system for those social evenings.
Plants used: Vinca Minor, Sarcococca confuse, Helleborus x hybridus orientalis, Euphorbia amygdaloids var. Robbiae, Pieris japonica ‘Mountain Fire’, Heuchera ‘Caramel’, Salvia ‘Clotted Cream’, Polystichum tsussimenses, Asplenium Scolopendrium, Carex Oshimensis ‘Everillo’, Hedra helix
WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY…
MoreYoga was looking for an innovative way to promote our fitness and yoga studios while combining it with the company’s ethos of natural wellbeing. After coming across NatureWalls and meeting Sarah at our studios we decided what better way than using a combination of living walls and the beautiful moss art designs she creates.
NatureWalls helped throughout the initial process by giving great advice on plant selection and by suggesting when to use a living wall or moss art depending on the sites specification and environment. The result was incredible and all our clients comment on the feel it gives to our studios and entrances. The bespoke Moss Art designs are truly spectacular
One thing I really liked was the professionalism in dealing with site management and how the design process helped to interpret just what More Yoga and More Fit was looking for.
I found the experience to be thoroughly enjoyable and that NatureWalls were easy to work with. We will not hesitate to use them in our upcoming expansion to other sites
I would recommend NatureWalls without hesitation to people thinking of investing in a Living Wall or Moss Art Installation.Shamir Sidhu
I had previously worked with Sarah as she had contracted me to carry out some electrical work for her company NatureWalls. I was so impressed with the final green living wall that was being installed that I knew I had to have one for myself.
Sarah was a great communicator and we decided that an ideal place for me to have a living wall was on a bare brick which was the boring view from our dining room. As I’m not very green fingered and wanted something that would take care of itself. Sarah suggested we install a pump and use the rain to water the wall, this is pumped directly from a water butt. She was also very good at asking me what types of plants I would prefer but as I am no expert I left that up to her and the finished product is amazing.
Now all I have to do is sit back and enjoy the view along with my friends who come for dinner who have been very complimentary. If you’re thinking about have a green wall then I would highly recommend NatureWalls.Lindsey Robinson
